Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Terrible. Biggest letdown as far as ratings that I've seen in a while. Reminds me very much of The Phantom Menace in how exceedingly little sense it makes, while simultaneously mangling the mythology.
Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Personally I loved it and thought it was the best of the 3. Bane was exactly what he was intended to be, and I can't see how it makes little sense or mangles the mythology. To me, it made perfect sense and it fit right in with the mythology.
Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Think you mean Jack Nicholson. Jack Nicklaus is the golfer

As long as you overlook the whole comic book canon than yeah it doesn't mangle the mythology.

But golf is a joke in itself. Who knows? Nicklaus might do well.
As for the movie:
Haven't seen it. But if it needs spicing up, just invite the audience to show up in black Kevlar.

TOTALLY agree. I thought Bane was a terrible character in this rendition. You almost felt sorry for him. The CB Bane is nothing like that... just pure mean. I understand Nolan wanting to keep things 'real' but they should have juiced up Bane a bit more and made him more menacing. I kept on thinking the entire movie, 'Why doesn't someone just shoot him?'

Poor taste, Bro.

When keeping it real goes wrong lol.
Bane was just the wrong character to use , He works best in the comics and animated series.
Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I saw it yesterday and was underwhelmed. IMO, it was the weakest of the trilogy by far (the previous two really were excellent). I think Bane was a terrible choice and poorly depicted. The voice couldn't have been more incongruent and ridiculous when compared against Bane's physical persona.
