Re: Old Club Edelweiss Days
In 1996 or 1997 there was a average looking guy there surrounded by every gorgeous looking girl in the
place. I asked a girl what was going on and she said he was from a new website and it turned out to be the early days of
Shemale Yum.
You don't see to many New York girls on Grooby anymore but in those days that's about all you saw then.
The girls could't wait to get on Yum. That was great for all us New York guys because most of the girls
had nudes on Yum
Those were the days
Re: NYC CLUB EDELWEISS (THE mother of all trans clubs)
Spent more than my share of evenings there. Often the waitresses would scout out those who fit your preferences and sometime they enjoyed a big TIP.
Re: Old Club Edelweiss Days
My first visit was circa 1990 when the club was still somewhere in the 30s. I met a cute young latina girl that blew me downstairs in a closet before we went to a hotel for more. It was my first time with a trans girl. It was an amazing night. She left a lasting impression.
Re: Old Club Edelweiss Days
I have some great memories of Edelweis (in all of its locations), but most especially the spot on 11th Ave. Such gorgeous ladies - I would get hard just walking into the place. The upstairs was nice but the better action was downstairs. (licking my lips just remembering)
QUESTION : do you think CLUB EDELWEISS would be successful in this day and age ?
to all us old timers :
do ya'll think the notrious 90s NYC tranny club EDELWEISS would be successful in present day ?
before you're quick to write off the tgurl club scene REMEMBER THERE ARE STILL TRANNY PARTIES GOING ON TO THIS DAY .
so why can't EDELWEISS or some party similar to that old school gritty vibe work today ?
and also before you say "well you cant do what you use to back in Edelweiss it's not allowed" ...
HELLO THERE ARE SEX CLUBS / SWINGER CLUBS legally open and running in NYC
since EDELWEISS every trans party has been STALE , UNINTERESTING , WATERED DOWN ...
at these tranny parties of today you can't even give a proper lap dance .
so again i ask you if there is legally open SEX CLUBS , why can't EDELWEISS be revised or at least something similar SEXUALLY CHARGED BALLS OUT (literally) ENVIORMENT be brought back to NYC to recharge this city ?

My guess is that as with other countries, the young generation of Trans people are not interested in those sort of clubs, and are more likely, if they are club types, to go to mainstream places. If it is about making a living, the internet has replaced what the club used to be. Even those Trans parties are once a week, I believe, not every night. The market just isn't there. What happened to all those porn shops and peep shows that used to be around 42nd St in New York City?

edelweiss was great, but Sally's hideaway was even greater
