Your favourite 1960s song
"The 1960s was the decade that ran from January 1, 1960 to December 31, 1969. The 1960s term also refers to an era more often called The Sixties, denoting the complex of inter-related cultural and political trends in the west, particularly United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Australia and West Germany. Social and political upheaval was not limited to these countries, but included such nations as Japan, Mexico, Yugoslavia and others." [wiki]
I love the 60s eventhough I never witnessed it. Anyhow, so many fantastic songs made during that era. So pick your favourite and give a (youtube or whatever) link if can. One song per post.
My choise for this opening post is
The Beach Boys - God Only Knows

In the summer of '66, I used to hang on the radio to hear:
"You can pick your friends & you can pick your nose, but you can't wipe your friends off on your saddle."

"You can pick your friends & you can pick your nose, but you can't wipe your friends off on your saddle."

The psychedelic era rolled in in the summer of '67.
Check out the 18 year old Ted Nugent.
