Re: Favorite movie?
the one film I find constantly funny - and I guess I've seen it maybe ten times over the years is "Radio Days" - a Woody Allen movies. But I never watch the same movie week in, week out. Life is too short.

Re: Favorite movie?
I don't watch the same film on a regular basis, certainly not every week, but I have returned to Citizen Kane probably more than any other American film, and it never ceases to amaze me with the quality of its script, its photography, it's lighting, indeed the whole concept. It was a one-off masterpiece that will never age. I always find that the classic Bogart films, The Big Sleep, Casablanca, Treasure of the Sierra Madre and The Maltese Falcon in particular stand the test of time, and make most contemporary films look sloppy and badly written. Other than single films, I maintain my faith in cinema through a regular diet of Ozu, Bresson, Bergman, and Tarkovsy without whom my cultural life would be poor -and apart from I think three Bergman films none of their films are available in online streaming.
