I love all the comments bashing me for separating attraction to transsexuals from attraction to penis, the latter of which I don't approve because people often use us as a substitute for men, and that goes for both men and women. I thought I was doing you all a favor. Whatever. People understand things in the way that doesn't conflict with their preconceived notions. That's their problem, not mine.

I don't hate my penis. I dislike it, but I don't hate it. I do, however, hate being defined by it. In romantic and sexual situations, we trans women must obviously out ourselves, but whenever we do, the news tends to travel and people begin to see us differently as people. Not as sexual partners, mind you (although they understandably do that too), but as people. Coming out as trans shouldn't change the way people feel about me or any other transwoman on a platonic level.

As far as sexual relations go, I didn't go through the pain of transition to 'be the man.'
