this reminds me of something that happened on this forum a while ago

one of the girls held a competition to win an evening (or weekend) with her. to qualify all you had to do was send your picture and (i think) a reason why you should be picked. the nominees names and pictures would be put into a box and the winner would be picked at random.

i actually remember this one guy- an older guy- who even included a plee of "please please pick me" with his submission.

turns out the winner was conveniently one of those not-so-bad looking guys and let me tell you- i never saw a discussion die so fast.

i bring this up because- for some, this whole paying business might be a matter of convenience or whatever, but others who are here out of necessity. because there are no choices.
