A December report by the Centers for Disease Control says that an estimated 27 percent of transgender women are HIV positive, and that HIV prevalence for transgender women is nearly 50 times as high as for other adults.

In a New York City study, more than 90 percent of newly diagnosed trans women were African-American or Latino, and more than half were in their 20s.

There should just be more focus on people using condoms. Its not that hard to pull Down over a dick or sex toy. Its not always the Man that need to say stop lets put on a rubber the she part in bed needs to demand it also and make it fun for the man to use. ( The nightclubs should also offers condoms at prices worth paying). Just saying that when you make it fun to use rubbers more people would do so. Do keep in mind that in most cities, if you're a young transwoman who has been stopped by the police, having condoms in your purse WILL be used as evidence against you for prostitution charges. Don't think for a second we don't get profiled.

I stand by the fact when you are doing 4 to 5 clients today on top of a regular sex life with people you want to have sex with actually it heightens your risk to catch something. THAT'S FACT.

When you don't get tested and you go around sleeping like you are invincible it's a FACT you might catch something.

It's FACT..that many girls need tough love and guidance when it comes to their health/safety.

It's FACT...that many girls tour and many girls still work with AIDS..then this guy sees this girl and that girl..so it's CROSSED contamination.

Yes, I have joined a few groups on Facebook. I was just appalled by some girls. Some even saying you would actually expect me to quite escorting if I got aids? I don't think so. I'll just wear a condom. Then some girls knowing their friends have it and not telling the guy they are with. I was just in AWE..
