Re: Bloody Football!
Apparently David Moyes has been questioned about an alleged assault on a 23-year old man at a wine bar in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
Gosh, imagine that.
A wine bar in Lancashire......

Re: Bloody Football!
Ah, the silly season, when Real Madrid turns its eyes to Suarez in lust, and I have to spend the next couple of months dealing with the "Your star player is leaving" crap.
I hate this time of year....
So, think Liverpool will get 3 new players in its back four, or just 2?

Re: Bloody Football!
Moreno is supposed to be getting his medical on Monday. That takes care of Left Back. I think he will be very good. Flanagan I think will take over Right Back from Johnson (thank God!) But I still think there needs to be someone more experienced there, and honestly, more world class. I was hoping that Serge Aurier was going to sign with us, but it looks like he's going to Arsenal.
And then there's the problem of the Central Defenders. Lord only knows what to do there. Skrtel is the Own Goal king, Toure is too old. Rodgers hates Agger, Sakho hasn't played enough and when he has he hasn't lead and direct the defense the way we need him to, and then, that's where the depth gets really weak. We need one really good Carragher type (like that's going to be easy to find.) who is world class and can be a leader in the back. And on top of that, we need more quality depth there.
That also means a minimum of three new people on the back line, which is usually a recipe for disaster. So I have no clue what they are going to do.
I do like the Lambert signing, and I think Can will be good too. Shauqri would be a nice pickup too. Not quite sold on Lallana coming in though. That's some pretty heavy looks we are giving to a team that finished a solid 7th, well below us.
Eh, what do I know though. I thought we would finish 5th last season.

Re: Bloody Football!
Well, my World Cup is over. Back to the main team, Liverpool. Any other Reds in here a little disappointed with the transfer window or is it just me?
Suarez is practically gone, and typical Ian Ayre, there's no one to replace him. The Defense is the biggest issue, but they're too cheap to spend for a quality back 4. And like under Kenny, we're going to have a ton of mid-field players.
and most of the new guys are from a team that finished 6 places below us in the table, by a good margin.
Nope, not happy so far. Not happy at all.

Re: Bloody Football!
Well, what a difference a month makes. My Reds have improved in most areas, and dismantled Southampton, who seemed to have our number last season. One week until the start of the season, and while I don't think we are going to win the league, it sure will be nice to be playing Europe again. Hopefully number 6 is on its way!
