Re: To Craigslist or not to Craigslist?
Do yourself a favor and make an alternate e-mail to use for Craig's List. Most of the postings are spam bots. I've hooked up with two, cute, sweet trans girls off there. I don't know if my results are typical, but I'm happy.

Re: To Craigslist or not to Craigslist?
Craigslist is virtually a wasteland in most cases. In almost all major metros in the US, the vast number of ads are for working gurls. The reason is pretty simple, you don't have to pay for the ads (they're free) and if you use any half-way decent image search, you'll also discover that nearly all of the ads use photos that are of some famous model or TS porn star In any event rest assured that the person in the photos will not be who you will be seeing. Several members here also posted about rip-offs, shake downs and muggings from Craigslist ads, so my advice would be ABC ... Anything But Craigslist.
Backpage is slightly (although just barely) better than Craigslist. Backpage charges for the ads and they accept payment only though credit cards. So at least in theory, you're not dealing with the least common denominator because Backpage essentially requires a verifiable identity (for their purposes anyway). Getting a credit card is a pretty low threshold by the way. The Backpage crowd also tends to be slightly less ghetto a a result of cost and occasionally, you can run across some visiting talent who you can cross check by image search and by Googling the phone number in the ad. Plenty of fakes here too - so Backpage is no means a safe bet. You'll want to check TER in any regard before you actually visit anyone.
Eros is by far the most reliable in terms of talent and verification (they Certify their advertisers) and as you might expect, the ads there can cost real money. If an escort is earning well the cost of an Eros ad is merely a business expense and an investment on continued business.
The jury is out on dating sites as far as I am concerned. Nearly every site associated with AFF has been under investigation for inflating membership, using expired members, publicly available and model's photos to enhance the number of matches any given user gets. They own some 20 plus websites and the user profile information is shuttled back and forth between them. But as they say with respect to just about everything Your Mileage May Vary.
