Repairing latex garments
I have a latex catsuit where one of the stitches unstuck. I am wondering if any rubber glue is going to be suitable for repairing it.
I have ordered some Butaprem glue on ebay but my friend suggested that it may destroy the rubber.
Can I use Ethanol instead of Isopropanol for cleaning? Do I need to make the surfaces rough or is clean enough? I think these glues' thinners soften the rubber surfaces they are applied to anyway.
I am not sure what kind of rubber the catsuit is made of. Does anyone anyone have any experience with repairing latex clothes? Or tips I could use?
According to this vid, It seems like an easy procedure:

Re: Repairing latex garments
I'm not 100% sure but I wouldn't rough the surface first like you would a bicycle tyre repair. I've used a glue from Halfords before and it worked really well. Make sure you used the soft flexi stuff not the hard set. I'm sure someone on here will be able to recommend a place of you wanted it done by a pro.
