Default Trans ppl criminalized in 37 countries

This is an insane reality to me. Not being trans I don't really think about it, but if you want to travel somewhere you basically gotta make sure they won't stone you there.

I remember hearing Russian trans ppl need to live very secretively. It's worse in other places. Idk much about any of this but curious if ppl have insight on what life is like for trans ppl in these kinds of places. I'm guessing there's "none" as you can't be visible.

I have seen videos around the net of Russian TS girls being horribly beaten in public places like parks and not only aren't they helped strangers both male and female tend to jump in and Help, it's a total shame.

Russian people seem to be very homophobic. In theory people have the legal right to be LGBT. In practice, they receive little protection and there are many laws that may be used against them.

Eastrn Europe is pretty bigoted as it stands in most cases.

Most countries tend to legally recognise trans people but they still have issues getting work. This is pretty much the case in most of South America, Africa and Asia. Even Iran legally recognises trans people, even if they don't have access to jobs. The first Ayatollah legalised gender confirmation surgery and the state pays a portion of it.
