That factor is implicitly related to gender dysphoria; some dolls can’t live without SRS, some can, and others don’t want it at all. But I for one have never met a trans woman who had SRS so she could “only be a bottom.” The theme of “bigtrannylover’s” comments seems to be that there is some sexual motivation behind trans women transitioning, which is incorrect from a medical/psychiatric standpoint. In terms of sexual proclivities, whether a trans woman tops or not generally correlates to the level of dysphoria she experiences related to her genitalia.

It should be obvious that if a person doesn't need to have SRS to be bottom-only. As you suggest, it's a basic confusion of cause and effect. People have SRS because it's the only way they can feel truly female. The effect of that is that they can only bottom. Guys who focus on the effect are just revealing that they can only think of it from the perspective of their own sexual preferences.

Both of these have to do with the disconnect between personal sexual preferences and the professional realities of being a adult performer.
