Discrimination against transwomen
As a transsexual do you think your using your education to it's full potential in other words do you think some doors are being shut on you simply because your transsexual even though you might have the same or greater education then the next person ?
It would be interesting to know if any girls on here has earned a degree or doctorate but yet is still in the adult industry do you think you are using your education to it's full potential by being in the industry?

Not to me. My education proved useful and I intend to use it to it's full potential. I dont believe anyone are left NOT without a choice in life.

ARE YOU KIDDING?
My partner Jessica has a degree in Science, Summa Cum Laude. A year in Animation Graphics, and is going to college to complete a BS in Computer Science and Physics.
She learned Vegas 7, Premiere and Encore in a couple of weeks, and has been doing all our video editing since we started producing our own videos 2 months ago.
She is a GENIUS, and NOBODY WILL HIRE HER, because she is trans, quiet spoken, and a thinker more than a production automaton. She ought to be working for the Rand Corp, or MIT or NASA. But she doesn't get a chance. She would make one hell of a high school science teacher - but I goddamm gurarrantee you she will never get the chance due to bigotry.
I watch her go to interviews and it breaks my heart when they don't call her back and she knows why. She doesn't even bother anymore.
We date "gentlemen" some of whom own companies, some of whom are quite well off. They will sleep with us but NONE will HIRE us.
I'm older, I can RUN a corporation, I have run them. Yet nobody is going to hire me. I'm over 30... I'm a woman AND I'm trans. It's like 3 strikes.
Yet the police will devote huge amounts of public funds to put us in JAIL for having consensual sex with other adults in private, in order to make a living. The only jobs for young trans people are for minimum wage. Work for $200 a week or $200 an hour. Not much choice is there? Especially when rent is $1,500 a month, gas is pushing $4 a gallon, etc. Maybe if they devoted some of that effort toward helping people actually get work at a median wage girls wouldn't BE in sex work.
Yes there's people like best selling author Jenniffer Boyland - "She's Not There" who transition on the job, everyone including her wife loves her and life is just happy-happy.
But nobody wants to hear about the t's who transition and lose everything and have no choice but the street or sex work. Nobody wants to hear of the young people, like my partner who was told by her father when he "caught" her in girl clothes and makeup while she was attending college and told her to get out of the house and not come back.
Anyway, sorry for going off - don't start threads like this one if you don't want my honest opinon...
Giggle,
TS Jamie

That's sad to hear, however, I have my own plans to circumvent this stuff.
I am going to be self-employed, long story. And I hope to do some porn in the future.

Thanks Vala.
Yes, we are hoping to save enough money in the next year to open a small business where we don't have to worry about what some bigot thinks.
We have some great ideas, if anyone wants to invest with two trans women who are smart AND sexy please give me a call!
Best,
TS Jamie

Well I'm sorry to hear about your story. And No I'm not kidding TS Jamie! Getting a job as a "woman" has more to do with how convincing and professional you appear to an employer for them to take you seriously (Now I'm not saying your friend and or partner in life isnt convincing as female either). But generally most if not all companies wont hire a tg if she looked inappropriate for the job they are applying for not matter if they have a high grade point average right after college and or graduated is summa cum laude. It all boils down to presentation and selling yourself. I've worked for alot of companies both abroad and here. I've held a management jobs managing staffs for years (in fashion, advertising, retail and merchandising) and worked fulltime as a woman. Until I got bored with the long hours and additional responsibilities and so- so wages that's when I shifted gears doing BDSM and fetishes. Now I'm back in the workforce and currently work in healthcare..as a girl. If I can do it, You guys can too if you so wanted it.
Maybe there arent much tgirls that wants a regular 9-5 job. That could be the culprit of it all. But there are a few girls like me out there who can. :P
