A Girl Like Me.
Has anyone ever seen it? It was on Lifetime a while ago. It's the story of Gwen Araujo, born Edward Araujo. Gwen was a transgender teenager. She was murdered by three boys she had a party with after they found out she was trans.
It was probably one of the saddest movies I've ever seen. I wanna see it again but I'm not sure if it's on DVD or anything. And I haven't see any other Trans films besides this and Hedwig.
So someone should totally recommend me some, if there are any others. I really need some new material to watch.

Unfortunately most of the movies that deal with trans-women are downers. When I first started to transition people told me to watch boys don't cry. That left me with a tremendous amount of fear for a long time, and was probably a bad way to start things off.
Don't see Trans-America, it totally sucks.
Ma Vie En Rose is a beautiful film, I'm really digging the Anime TV series Princess Princess right now (even though its not really trans), Pedro Almodovar consistently creates semi-obnoxious films about trans people such as La Mala Educacion and All about my mother. My brain is a bit pre-occupied on the yummy smells coming from my kitchen, but hopefully that helps.

The crying game is a good one if you haven't seen it.

Princesa
I loved the movie. It is one of the best movies on this
subject matter. It is not pornographic, so the 'admirers'
may not enjoy it. But it truly tells the strory of a transwomans
struggles in a foreign land as she enters a life of prostitution
to earn money for her SRS.
I picked up my copy from Netflix.
