They are all old brit. sit coms... as for "Are you Being Served", that was big in the 70's in the UK, when people still laughed at pussy (as in the female genitalia type) jokes and it was politically correct to portray gays as effete, mincing and limp wristed
LOVEEE Are You Being Served!! Love Mrs. Slocombe, her outrageous hair do and color and pussy quotes!! :P

I really like most British sitcoms but I'm able to sit though entire episodes of Friends and Seinfeld without even a twitch of the mouth. I just don't get what's so funny about those shows...

I second that. Overly hyped up, badly acted and just downright cheesy.

I have four all time favorite sitcoms, Three's Company, Jackie Gleason, Archie Bunker, and the Dukes of Hazard.

10 years funboy, need i say more, the show is iconic
Good point, zippy. I suppose even mediocrity(or just aspiring to mediocrity like 'Friends') could be considered iconic in some twisted way if it is allowed to fester long enough.

    Like Michael Bolton.

    Or Celine Dion.

    Or I daresay, yourself.

    That will be all.

If you like Are You being Served, you should check out "Up Pompeii" with the late, great Frankie Howerd. High camp 70s style.
