Rugby Union, closely followed by football (soccer)
Did you notice how there is not one Australian team in the Super 14 competition?

Ice Hockey
I play it every week, and am still watching games though the Bruins are out of it. Fucking Recci had kidney stones removed the night before game 7 and still played. Kessell was playing with one useable arm. Krechi is in for hip surgery. That's hockey, that's pride. Other players on other teams play through the same injuries. It's a love of the game.
Bobby Baun played with a broken bone in his foot. If you haven't played the game you can't understand this. I don't know how to explain it except to say you don't want to miss a shift. It's a rush. If your not skating it's like a portion of your life is missing. It's a high!
If any of you girls would like to learn more about the game, drop me a line. I'll do my best to get you into hockey. Guy's if you haven't laced on skates and played, don't respond about the sport --- you don't have a clue. The sport is rated low in the US because it has been relegated to the northern states for so long.
The good thing about hockey is groups generally always welcome newbies and help them along and give them advice.

The NFL (preferably from the 1960s and '70s), followed by the '70s-'80s NBA and the NHL of that same era. I also love the '60s AFL and the old ABA.
