2 am in San Diego - but for some reason the SRO throws everyone out about 1:40 - so everyone stands around in the street as the alcohol clears the fog in the brain, in the cool air and they realize that if they don't grab someone RIGHT NOW, they are going home alone...

I call it the "slash and grab" as it can get bloody as the rats abandon the ship and scuttle off into the night. :-)

I've done it myself a time or two...

TS Jamie :-)

Jacques, the only tranny bar in Boston, closes at midnight except on a few special nights a year when the city allows them to stay open later. Most bars close by 1, though some stay open later. Boston basically goes to bed while New York is just starting to party.

Between 1am-7am

I think it's illegal to serve alcohol after 1am but nearly everywhere does. In England I think they've introduced a 24hour policy....lucky bastards

24hrs here. The only decent thing the Labour Gvt has done in ten years of power.

But then they outlawed smoking...which immediately made 24 hr drinking a crappy idea.

Party on, Wade.

In Ohio it's 2:30 am. All glasses have to be off the table and bars with no visible signs of drinking. Most bars set their clocks ahead 15 minutes so they have time to clear the tables.

4 am in NYC but wait . . there are always after hours clubs and the ubiquitous after party party. And just because a bar closes at 4 doesn't mean it shuts at 4. You gotta love New York.

It's 2am for most bars and clubs here. if it's a private club, then it might open until 3:30am at the absolute latest. I remember when clubs used to open until 4am back in the late 80s/early 90s and when closing time came around and the lights came on, the cops would come in, the owners would give each of the cops a big roll of bills (I kid you not) and they would leave and the lights would dim and the party would go on until 6am.

In New York, you just have to know the right people and the right places to go. When a weekly TG party in NY closed down at 4, we'd go to someone's high rise and had a bunch of after party parties. It was amazing. I remember falling asleep and getting up at 10 am and people were scattered on the floor everywhere. Of course that was after the orgy. - yes the orgy.
