Thanks for the pics. But wouldn't the topless-ness offend some religious and modest people? I'm we enjoy these pictures, but aren't there others there, who might be offended by public partial nudity?

I was asking a question about how the general people of Chile may feel. It's about politics. We know how the people on the board feel, we love it.
But in general, trans people around the world are seeking greater acceptence by the larger society. Sometimes such public displays are used as an example by conservatives why sexual minorities should not be given protections.
It seems like the t women there are proud of the gender status, which is a good thing. I' just curious about the politics of it all.

people in Chile donīt like this, hates it, they are all Homobofic fuckers, and that is why exactly the girls are naked in the street, as a protest

Thanks for your answer to Yoda's question.
I am just another person (in England) who thinks about what it is like in South America.
So a view from someone who is there helps me to understand.

Iīm sure things would have changed if Allende wasnīt assassinated by the US. But Iīm still surprised Chile is that conservative.

Interesting. So if you truly believe that the U.S. had involvement in the death of Allende, you don't subscribe to the suicide theory? How would you imagine Chile may be different now? Do you think the Socialist and Marxist beliefs of Allende and his vision for Chile would have made it more accepting of transpersons?

South American states are famous for being ultra-religious. Some of those societies seem to accept trannys and homosexuals, some not. According to Nikka, Chile unfortunately isnīt one of the "liberal" countries. It is religion that causes hate and prejudices against anything that is not "allowed" by the bible.
US-involvement cannot be proved but the US government was advancing the putsch (Kissinger admitted it himself). I donīt wish to turn this topic into a political debate but if the US government didnīt mind to attack the "evil communists" in Vietnam, why not doing it in the South American backcountry? The US would never tolerate the uprising socialism in the vicinity of their borders.
Iīm not sure if Allende commited suicide or not. One theory says he was shot by an intruding soldier and another that he killed himself. If he shot himself, Iīm sure he didnīt do it because he was an Emo.

Absolutely they are ultra-religious, and yes it is the religion that breeds the prejudices. Whether the U.S. was involved directly in the death of Allende in reality is neither here nor there, but I was wondering though, if you thought that things might be different if he lived through to implement his changes, in what way do you envision the differences? Just curious as to your perspective.

Wow! Amazing. Thanks for sharing the pictures. This is slightly on topic and off topic, and I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but, I am actually going to Santiago for a year. Can you recommend to me where to go to have the chance to meet and mingle with Transsexuals?
