Just for information, none of these countries are Islamic. Ethiopia and Kenya are majority Christian and Tanzania is about equal numbers of Christians and Muslims. Wikipedia is very useful for basic stuff like this.

i've been to all the places you're talking about. that's why i said mombasa is mostly dependent on which part of the island you're on (north or south coast). you'd probably have more luck (with transsexuals) in nairobi or maybe kiambu (known for having lots of hookers) but mombasa is largely a tourist town with a large islamic population- dar is pretty much an extension of mombasa while zanzibar is a very small island with next to nothing.
